Host Families

Participants attending ESSENTIAL Scotland have the option of staying with carefully selected local host families in Glasgow.

Accommodation is arranged through Discover Glasgow, an established organisation with many years of experience placing international students and Erasmus interns with welcoming host families across the city.

​

Discover Glasgow works with hosts who are experienced in welcoming international students and young adults, providing a supportive and culturally enriching environment during their stay in Scotland.

 

All host families are independently vetted and managed by Discover Glasgow, ensuring appropriate standards, safeguarding procedures and hosting experience.

ESSENTIAL Scotland works in partnership with Discover Glasgow to connect participants with trusted accommodation options. I have worked closely with Sabina Allison, Director of Discover Glasgow, to ensure that our participants have access to reliable and welcoming host families during their time in Glasgow.

While ESSENTIAL Scotland facilitates introductions, host family arrangements are organised and managed directly by Discover Glasgow.
